5. Referral Tracking and Fraud Prevention
When you follow a referral link or participate in Refer & Earn, we process information to attribute genuine new accounts, calculate rewards, administer the program and investigate abuse under our referral program terms.
- Referral information: This includes referral codes, a randomly generated browser visitor identifier, attribution tokens, landing paths, click and expiry times, account identifiers, signup dates, referrer relationships, eligibility status, qualifying claim references and reward or review records.
- Browser storage: Referral identifiers and tokens are kept in browser storage so a valid click can be associated with a later signup during the published attribution window. You can clear or block browser storage through your browser settings, but doing so, or changing devices or browsers, may prevent attribution. Where applicable law requires consent for this storage, it must be obtained before non-essential tracking is used.
- Connected identity and security data: We may use your connected Discord user ID, username and server-membership verification, along with relevant account, claim, IP address, browser and location records already collected in connection with our services, to assess eligibility and investigate suspected self-referrals, duplicate accounts, fabricated claims or coordinated abuse. A shared IP address is a review signal, not proof of a violation by itself.
- Visibility to referrers: Referral dashboards can show activity counts, masked identifying labels, signup or qualifying-activity dates, referral status and related commission or reward details. Masked labels may still be recognizable to someone who already knows you; they are not anonymous. Referrers do not need access to your full claim evidence or withdrawal details to view referral performance.
- Access and sharing: Administrators handling eligibility, support, payments or fraud review may access the relevant referral and account records, including the referrer's contact details. Relevant information may also be processed by service providers supporting hosting, authentication, Discord verification, communications or payments, and disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect rights, as described above.
- Purpose and legal grounds: Depending on applicable law, processing may be necessary to administer the program you choose to join, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests in preventing fraud and maintaining accurate reward records. Where consent is required, we rely on that consent for the relevant processing. Referral participation does not itself constitute consent to unrelated marketing.
- Retention: Click tokens have the attribution expiry recorded for the program. Token expiry does not automatically erase click, attribution, reward or audit records. We retain relevant records only as reasonably needed to administer ongoing referral relationships, reconcile rewards, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations; actual retention may extend beyond the attribution window.
- Your choices and rights: Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of relevant personal information, object to eligible processing or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Requests are subject to identity verification and applicable legal exceptions, including records needed for payments, fraud prevention or disputes.
